Facial Hair Removal Adds to Your Look

Today facial hair removal became very important, for both men and women and frankly it’s going beyond a simple aesthetic issue, it’s really becoming a psychological and major life element. Many people are not comfortable with some hair featured on their faces, especially when it comes to large eyebrows and some mustache for women. There are different ways and techniques to go by, but there are no doubts that regardless of what they decided to do, people are doing it more and more.

Facial hair removal somehow gives a better sense of themselves to people and helps them to find a better equilibrium with their look expectations. As people become more aware of final solutions, often laser treatment is considered, but of course all the traditional methods are still widely used, from special lotion/creams to small electrical razors and so forth. The key is to have a smooth and hairless skin in the face and avoid or, at least slow down, the re-growth of unpleasant and unwanted hair. Facial hair removal is then as popular as any other make up and beauty application and of course beauty centers are also offering services to respond to the growing demand, especially in a moment in history where even men are paying more attention to their look.

Thyroid Hair Loss

What is it?

Saw Palmetto is an herbal oil extract from the berries of the plant called a Saw Palm. Researchers are still working to fully understand the beneficial effects of this herbal extract. What is known is that the fatty acids are purported to be responsible for testosterone-inhibiting effects within the prostate.

What does it do?

Put simply Saw Palmetto opposes the actions of testosterone. This is significant since testosterone levels have been directly linked to several health conditions including hair loss. Proponents of Saw Palmetto claim that it balances hormonal activity restoring whatever damage may have been caused by an imbalance.

Is it effective?

It depends on who you talk too. The Naturopathic Community is very confident and report definite results although they admit that they do vary based on the quality of the herb and the person taking it. Consensus in the medical community is positive but reserved. They want to see more comprehensive clinical trials done but also admit that with a Doctors guidance for most people it will not harm people to try it. For many decades in Europe and Asia it is considered the herb of choice for treating BPH Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or enlarged prostate in men. Many report very positive results.

Will it help my hair loss?

Since we also know that hair loss is closely related to testosterone activity, it is very often recommended that any Hair Loss Treatment Plan include a DHT blocker and Saw Palmetto as an herbal supplement. Today it is the active ingredient found in the majority of all natural hair loss treatments.

A word of caution:

Doctor Supervision - as with any treatment plan, consult with your Doctor Quality Concerns - There are currently no regulations or standards so when purchasing this buy from a well known brand name. Try different brands as pay attention the labels regarding content per dosage. PSA False Positives - Because it can alter the results of the PSA test for prostate cancer make sure to advise your Doctor if you require testing that you are taking it Pregnancy - Do not take Saw Palmetto if pregnant or breast feeding

All About Facial Skin Care

Facial skin care is more a matter of discipline than anything else. A facial skin care routine is what you need (and you need to follow the facial skin care routine with complete seriousness). So let’s check what comprises an effective facial skin care routine. Well, very simply, a facial skin care routine can follow the following 4 steps:

-Cleansing
-Toning
-Exfoliating

-Moisturising

Cleansing is the first thing in facial skin care routine. Cleansing helps in removing dust, pollutants, grease and extra oil from your skin, thereby preventing damage to your skin. Just spot your face and neck with a good cleansing lotion or cream and gently massage it into your skin using upward strokes. Use a soft face tissue or cotton wool to wipe your face in a gentle patting fashion (do not rub). Cleansing should be done at least twice a day i.e. morning (as part of complete facial skin care routine) and evening (on a standalone basis). Water soluble cleansers are the best for inclusion in your facial skin care routine.

Toning is the next in a facial skin care routine. However, this is the optional part of the facial skin care routine. Mostly, proper cleansing can compensate for toning. Toning helps remove all traces of dirt, grease and excess cleanser. Instead of making it part of your daily facial skin care routine, you can using toning occasionally i.e. when you have been exposed to particularly harsh environment/pollution.

Exfoliation is again, kind of, optional step in everyday routine for facial skin care. However, exfoliation is necessary at least once a week (or twice, depending on the skin type and the environmental conditions). Exfoliation finds its place in facial skin care routine because of the natural tendency of skin to replenish the skin cells every 3 or 4 weeks. As a facial skin care technique, exfoliation helps in removing the dead skin cells that block the pores, thus assisting the skin in the natural process. However, excessive or harsh exfoliation can cause damage to your skin; so you need to balance it out.

The next thing in facial skin care is moisturising. In fact, moisturising is the most important part of facial skin care routine. Moisturisers prevent your skin from getting dry. Dry skin is really undesirable since it cause the upper layer skin to break, leading to dead skin cells. Again, use light upward strokes to make the moisturiser more effective. Moisturisers work the best when applied on warm and damp skin. So do not try to remove all the moisture in the previous steps of facial skin care routine.

Besides the normal facial skin care routine, you should also exercise the following for facial skin care:

-Use proper make-up remover instead of just washing it away
-Pay heed to your skin type and the environment, when choosing facial skin care products.
-Before you start using a new facial skin care product, test it by applying it on a short patch of skin e.g. ear lobes.
-Never rub your skin too hard.
-Use sunscreen lotions for protection against sun.

The Dangers of Sun Tanning Booths

One thing’s for sure - tanning booths are not going to “cook” your internal organs, contrary to the common urban myth. But there are some very real dangers associated with sun tanning booths, and to protect yourself you need to be informed.

The sun, tanning beds, and tanning lamps all emit ultraviolet (UV) rays. There are two types of UV rays, UVA and UVB. UVB is associated with sunburn, while UVA is linked to deeper, more penetrating radiation and long-term skin damage.

For years, people argued that tanning beds were safe because they primarily emit UVA rays, which will tan but not burn skin. But more recent evidence links UVA exposure to malignant melanoma which is an extremely dangerous type of skin cancer. Cases of skin cancer are becoming more common, possibly due to the sun tanning booths becoming more popular.

Additionally, overexposure to all UV rays can cause premature aging and loss of skin elasticity. But early aging and skin cancer are harmful effects of tanning booths that often do not show up for a lot of years, after the damage to the skin is already done.

There is no UV ray exposure that is safe. While sometimes exposure to some sunlight is healthy because it prompts the body to produce vitamin D the amount of sunlight needed for this health benefit is MINIMAL. UV rays are radiaa type of radiation, and over-exposure will always cause damage to the skin. Both types of UV rays have been linked to immune system damage.

It is true that sun tanning booths are prescribed as therapy to treat certain types of skin diseases, but as with any medication, there are risks if not used as directed.

The Power Of Charisma

You have seen them on television your entire life: the world leaders, the movie stars, and yes, even the infomercial darlings! These people almost seem incapable of self-doubt as their undeniable confidence exudes from their every pore, almost mesmerizing their audience. They are literally capable of convincing listeners to buy products they don’t really need, support causes without question, and follow when one would rather lead. What is their secret? How are they able to do what you or I could only dream of doing, and do it with such ease?

A rare personal quality attributed to leaders who arouse fervent popular devotion and enthusiasm; a personal magnetism or charm.

This is how the dictionary defines charisma and it was precisely what all of those people you see on television have in abundance. Still, it really is not the best of definitions because lacking is a clear-cut answer as to what precisely it, this charisma, really is. The ability to influence the opinions and actions of others is a truly exciting and powerful thing, is it not? Who would not want to have such power? Where would our lives be today had we been born with charisma like all those people we see on the television screen every night? Would we not be an entirely different person had we?

But, just consider this: What if charisma isn’t merely something we are or are not born with? If one really thinks about it, isn’t charisma just an abundance of self-confidence without all the baggage that comes with self-doubt, which to some degree we all must contend with in our lives? If that were true, then much like math or how to drive, charisma would not be some mystical power but rather something that could be learned given the right instruction! With enough practice, you or I could easily exude the very confidence we see in leaders and news anchorswe, too, could influence other people to do as we deemed fit! Think of the possibilities! Who could you be and how dramatically could the course of your life be altered if you had the self-confidence to direct or at least strongly influence the actions of those around you? The possibilities positively abound, don’t they? Our daydreams, once confined to our imaginations, could in fact become reality with charisma!

The difference between the life we want and the one we live boils down to just one thing: learning how to develop and harness our own inner-charisma and using it to make our dreams into anything we desire of them! So stop believing that charisma is some rare gift born unto some lucky few and start learning how to unlock that which is already inside of you! You and I both have it, we just need to learn how to develop this thing called charisma!

Cholesterol Depostis on Facial Area - Large Pores

Cholesterol Deposits

THESE LITTLE BUMPS LOOK LIKE MILIA BUT ARE MORE YELLOW WAXY TRANSPARENT IN COLOR ! These may appear around eye area, forehead or anyweheres on the skin.

This is usually an internal problem, change your diet and keep your cholesterol levels balance (high level of fat in your blood).

You may try AHA or Salicylic Acid (BHA) creams, peels or retinol products, essential oil, etc… and a good skincare regimen suggested by the help of an/your esthetician that may help reduce there appearance or may help with minimizing them by helping the skin heal itself.

In time If they do not disapear on their own no matter what you do and wish to get rid of them seek your doctor (dermatologist) for there removal either by laser or topical medication.

Enlarged Pores

It is usually determined and influenced to a degree by skin conditions. Enlarged pores can be made to appear smaller, but it is impossible to shrink follicles to the degree that they are almost invisible.

Blackheads are filled with grease deposits, dead cells, makeup and other debris which fill and stretch the pores. Once this material is removed by deep cleansing, and the pores are kept cleaned out, they will tighten and be less visible. Although the skin will still have enlarged pores, they will not seem as large. I have a client with large pores and we do see a huge difference in her pores when she has regular scheduled facials and when she doesn’t! You need to get on a consistent skincare regimen and routine such as daily cleansing and toning are a must. A clay mask and exfoliant will also help to deeply cleanse and tighten the skin, facials done by yourself or a professional regularaly, peelings all help tighten up the pores making them less visible also the use of aha or bha products are very helpful also using the right products for your skin.

If the case is very extreme, there is the option of laser resurfacing. Either your dermatologist or a plastic surgeon should do this. There is down time for healing, moderate sensitivity and photosensitivity attached to this procedure, however, it does really improve the quality, tone, texture and appearance of the skin.
