The Seven Day Brown Rice Diet
A 7 day brown rice fast is one of the easiest forms of body cleansing for the inexperienced because it supplies sustained nutrients, detoxifies the body in a gentle way (thereby incurring little or no detox side effects) and doesn’t demand fasting as a juice cleanse can.
According to the brown rice diet detox program, you only consume brown rice for two to seven days. You will not have the problem of being hungry or getting jitters or dizziness. You can flavor your brown rice with Bragg’s Amino Acids, similar to soy sauce but much better since it only contains natural sodium. A small amount of miso with ginger powder and garlic powder will add variety to your brown rice diet. Other herbs for flavouring are also acceptable, however, don’t go overboard. For a little metabolic lift, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. You can also use a little brown rice syrup, maple syrup or agave nectar for a slightly sweet choice. Only do this once a day, if at all.
Be sure to have at least 3 quarts of water throughout the day. Include herbal teas as well. Peppermint is a great tea for digestion tea, red clover will support body detoxification and a laxative tea at night before bed will keep your colon moving.
In order to maintain steady blood sugar levels, eat 5 or 6 small servings of brown rice each day. For convenience, you can prepare one or two day’s worth of rice at one time.
