Bodog WSOP Freeroll
This week I was presented a free chance at winning a $12,000 WSOP main event prize package through Bodog Poker.
I am a member of a bunch of online poker email lists and communities. All the time there are free opportunities to new players, but not existing ones. So, what does a player who’s on one or two sites have to do to get some perks? Join more poker sites!
While it sounds kind of ridiculous to be on a handful of sites, there is some value to it. PokerStars is great for tournament poker. Full Tilt has a lot of pros and nosebleed cash games. Bodog has sports betting and weak tournament fields.
Now of course those are just boiled down generalizations, the point is all Internet poker sites are not equal. Once you weigh in the rake-back situations and the Player points systems, some might far outweigh others.
Since I have been jumping at a lot of cheap shots to get a buy-in to the World Series of Poker, I couldn’t resist an opportunity laid in front of my by Poker Table Ratings. If I deposited $50 or more and played at least 10 raked hands of poker, I’d get to play in a freeroll against other new players who’d signed up through PTR. I did exactly this.
I’ve been playing cash games with the money I deposited and have neither been very much up or down, but the WSOP satellite wouldn’t cost me anything. All I had to do was use PTR’s name as a referral and I’d get a shot at the $12k.
183 people also took this offer. Only one player would be rewarded with the $12k. Everyone else at the casino would get nothing.
